I have a site that ranks #1 on google for a key term.
If I move the site to Amsterdam, to a less reputable web-host (I am currently with Godaddy) is there ANY risk of SERP loss?

Who your website is hosted with will have nothing to do with google moving your rank….they dont care about that…they only care about your site havin g good quality and thats why your number one!
Changing your web hosting company will make no difference to your website reputation. But changing your domain will certainly tamper your current position. . . . . . . . . .So feel free to change your web hosting company. But remember a bad hosting company can impact your business from website. That is because if the server is down most of the time, then there are chances for you to loose a huge chunk of customers
In a word…no. Unless your website goes down during the change over.

Changing your web host will not affect your search engine rank. However, if the new web hosting company that you choose often experience server down issues, then I think that it is quite risky, for if the search engine crawlers happen to pass by your website and find it in a down time, therefore they would index your website in a server down status, which I think would affect your rankings. But if you are sure that the new web hosting firm that you chose is still reputable then you have nothing to worry about.
