I don’t think you can get your own first tier domain name for free – no companies I know would do that for free as that will cost them a lot.

But for free hosting – This is the best site to find one.

Use the search feature to add what you want from a free host and then it will list the ones matching your needs.

It costs money to register a domain. You can go to httP://www.godaddy.com to do this. It is fairly inexpensive, but not free. There is also a host of options available at HTTP://www.toast.net if you wish to look there. And, they have a lot of comparisons for speed, service, etc.

You can get a blog site at yahoo for free, but I believe it is for personal use only. goDaddy also has some very inexpensive hosting plans you may be interested in.

As far as the credit card thing goes you can just go to most any supermarket, Walmart, etc. and purchase a prepaid VISA card (gift card) to use for making the purchase on line. They work just like a normal credit card, but you don’t have to hassle with the bills and the other junk. You may find this handy for a lot of on line purchases, and a lot more secure for your identity.

    hope this helps.

    For free domain name: www.co.cc
For free web hosting: There’re a lot of free web hosting services but I’m using www.byethost.com and it’s fairly nice and the features are enough for me.
    Hope this helps u. ;-)

You can’t get .com, .net or similar domain names for free – you can get .cc or .nu names for free (for now – that may change in the future).

There is a free subdomain co.cc hosting at the source below, and there is great web hosting at the other source, from 000webhost.
The hosting is of course free, with 1.5 GB disk storage, and 100 GB bandwidth per month. It has an autofantastico installer, too. For full details, click the sources below.
~Tip: There is no such thing as free domain (as far as I know) without the company asking something in return. There is a free domain registration for blogspots, but you are required to reach the minimum amount of visits per day.

I once used free web hosting site and I lost my website because of them. I wasted my time and energy because of that hosting. I advise to go for paid hosting.

    Look at

It’s impossible to get a free domain, especially if you are under the age of 18, when there are fees to registering a domain. This is why freeservers/companies like freewebs and geocities stick with subdomains. They are easier to manage, gets the job done, not to mention, absolutely free.

The only way to get a domain is to buy it yourself, or get someone else to buy it for you, namely your parents or another relative. If you have no way of buying it yourself ,and your family does not want to buy you one either, then the only logical solution you have is to just wait until you can buy one on your own.

Don’t forget that you are also required to fill out your personal information when you register for a domain name. Your full name. Your email. Your address. You phone number. Pretty much everything short of your social security number. Your personal information then becomes public domain, and anyone can search for it just by looking up your domain through a whois database. There is pretty much no way to avoid this, not for free anyway.

With all of that said, there are sites that offer free domain hosting, but don’t expect a lot of space, top-of-the-line features and being with the same host forever. What you can expect is a lot of downtime, tons of ads, crappy features, a small amount of space and being with the same company for 2 months before they decide to close down.

My answer may or may not help you, but it’s difficult to give you what you want when it doesn’t even exist, you know?
