ok im trying to order a subscription online for someone to host a web server for me however i have £25 in my paypal account and no card linked to it usally no bother but when i go to checkout it says Link a card to make an instant payment but i dont think i have enough for the monthly subscription on my card
if i put my card in will it charge my paypal account balance or my actual debit card bank balance.
what happens if i put my card and it gos through payment on card and i dont have enough money in my account

If you input your credit card and it does not have enough credit you will get an over the limit credit fee. If it is your bank account and you do not have enough money then, the transaction may or may not go thru and you will be assessed a charge for overdraft at your bank either way you have to pay a penalty fee. The best thing is to wait and get the money together and purchase the item. Otherwise you will end up paying extra for something when it could have cost you less.
if its debit card you need money in your account,credit card will pay anyway,you get billed later.
